I certainly agree - but there is something to be said for choosing a technology that allows for rapid development and being able to change direction at any moment. Especially when dealing with relationships - people may use your tool in any number of ways and you need to be able to adapt easily.

Find out why they don't like you and improve on it. Of course you don't want to dilute your brand/product, but there is no reason not to engage an unfriendly audience.
